Finished studies of medicine (study branch General Medicine) at the Medical Faculty of the University of P. J. Šafárik in Košice in 1998. Subsequently, in the years 1998 – 2005 worked as a doctor in the Department of psychiatry at the Faculty Hospital of L. Pasteur in Košice, where he treated patients with broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders in outpatient and inpatient setting, including neurotic, psychosomatic and psychotic disorders, acute psychiatry, child psychiatry and treatment of patients with various types of addictions at the Centre for Drug Addiction Treatment in Košice.

His work experience includes activities of Medical Advisor and Medical Manager for psychiatric and haemato-oncology portfolio at Medical Departments of multinational pharmaceutical companies.

He finished complex psychotherapeutic training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and self-experiential training and theory of guided affective imagery. He participated in a number of special and supervision seminars guided by teachers from the USA, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia aimed at specificities of guided affective imagery and psychodynamic approach. Currently works as a training therapist and lecturer in psychodynamic psychotherapy for the Slovak Institute of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Bratislava.

In 2021, he graduated from the core training in intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP) guaranteed by the ISTDP Institute, Washington D.C., USA under the guidance of J. Frederickson. He is a founding member and since 2023 the chairman of the Board of the Slovak Society for ISTDP.

Since 2022 he has been the vice-chairman of the board of Slovak Association of Psychotherapy (SPS) and a delegate of SPS in European Association of Psychotherapy.

From a professional point of view he’s interested in the role emotions and psychiatric disorders play in health and illness behaviours including the interest in psychosomatic medicine and issues of psychophysiologic disorders. He seeks continuous education and training in progressive psychotherapeutic approaches based on targeted and effective dynamic interventions (intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy) applicable to medically unexplained symptoms, anxiety, depression, stress-linked medical syndromes and relational problems. He has been working in private psychiatric and psychotherapeutic practice since 2014 in Bratislava. He provides sessions in Slovak and English language.
